Visual principles, photography and the ring

  • One generic device per claim: diagrams, motifs and type.
  • House format, from the client’s reference post: a square image on a dark studio ground, a hero visual of AVARTAN SRM, a two line headline (outcome word in mint, plain verb in white bold), two amber arrow callouts, a pipe separated tag line bottom left and the mint Avartan lockup bottom right. Space Grotesk and Satoshi.
  • The hero is a dark studio exploded or cutaway render of AVARTAN SRM, produced by WizKen. Until a render is approved, drawn placeholders hold the composition. Callouts carry claims or cleared company figures, never motor specifications. No logo on end products.
  • Headlines, taglines and captions carry no hyphens or dashes, and say “magnet free”, as the site does.
  • Real photography from the existing Aditya and Avartan shoots: R&D test lab, office, team, group plants. Group facilities are captioned as group facilities.
  • Screen every image against the don’ts: no customer parts or names, no prototypes or opened-up motors, no readable screens, no whiteboards, no wide shots that reveal line capacity, no stock photos as our own.
  • Same lockup, segment tag and ring position on every post, so the feed reads as one system.
  • A progress ring lights one more segment each month, so the feed shows progress at a glance.
  • Treatments simple enough to produce in-house every week.

The 95:5 rule

Only ~5% of B2B buyers are in market at any moment. The other 95% choose from brands they already know.
For AvartanStay familiar to the 95% now; build toward the moment OEM windows open.

Ingredient branding

A component maker earns preference by becoming a recognised name inside someone else’s product.
For AvartanSell the drive, not the fan. Consumers matter because they create pull.

Crossing the Chasm

Early adopters buy on vision and merit. The mainstream waits for proven references.

The Challenger Sale

Top sellers teach the customer something new about their own business, then tailor it.
For AvartanTeach the hidden rare-earth exposure, and that quiet, efficient and secure needn’t trade off.

The buying committee

6–10 people decide, and deals stall when the champion can’t sell it internally.

The bodies that shape the industry

Standards bodies, regulators and industry associations influence which motor technology gets specified. We follow and engage them, then offer a technical briefing.

Avartan is Sanskrit for revolution. A cycle that turns without end. Indian origin, circular motion and magnetic flux lines, layered into one mark. One intent: a motor free of rare earth constraints. Designed and made in India, for the world.

Details The house format, and how we execute it

The format, taken from the client’s reference post

  • A square image on a dark studio ground, with a black band along the bottom.
  • A hero visual in the middle. In the reference it is a studio exploded view of the motor with a glowing core.
  • A two line headline top left: the outcome word in mint, the plain verb in white bold. “Silence engineered” is the reference headline.
  • Two amber arrow callouts on the right, each with a white rule running to the edge.
  • A pipe separated tag line in mint bottom left, and the mint Avartan lockup bottom right.

When we execute

  • WizKen produces the heroes as dark studio exploded or cutaway renders of AVARTAN SRM in this style, using Space Grotesk and Satoshi. Drawn or stand in images hold the composition where no real photo or render exists yet.
  • Real photography fills the hero on people, lab and plant posts, and the same frame is reused.
  • One new hero per idea. The headline, callouts and tag line change; the frame does not, so the feed reads as one system.

What differs from the reference, and why

  • Callouts carry claims, not motor specifications. The reference shows decibel and RPM figures. The SME note says no specifications in public content, so these callouts state the claim, or a cleared company figure.
  • No application. The reference tag line names a food processor. Applications are muted for now, so the tag lines name AVARTAN SRM and the claim.
  • “Magnet free”, not “magnetless”, to match the website.
  • Open question: an exploded view shows laminations and windings, which the SME note counts as design geometry. The detail level needs agreeing before the first render is published.

Each sample maps to a calendar post

The meta line on each sample names the phase code, the audience and the month and week of the post it illustrates.

Still open

  • Website go-live basics before the first link is shared on LinkedIn. Done in the new build: Privacy and Cookie Policy pages, full address and contacts, resume upload, one call to action, SR-only content. Still to do: the live domain, link previews per page, favicon, sitemap, removing the feedback widget, and moving the live site onto the SR-only build (it still shows roadmap platforms). Details are in the Website handoff section.
  • The Insight Tag needs the Cookie Policy updated and a consent step before it loads. The current policy says the site sets no advertising or analytics cookies.
  • Company figures. The About page is now consistent on 13 years, 20+ patents and Aditya Auto founded in 1996. Still to settle: the certification line (OHSAS 45001 should read ISO 45001), Scope 2 and 3 claims, whether the Edscha JV and German alliance are cleared, and the 2024–25 timeline entry about pilot customers, which conflicts with the no-customer rule.
  • Imagery: the client wants the dark studio render style, while the SME note asked for no rendered product, no design geometry and no specifications. Agree what an exploded view may show (laminations and windings are design geometry), and that callouts carry claims or cleared figures, not decibel or RPM specifications.
  • One feature-icon layout, and consistent use of the ™ mark once legal confirms.

This decision table is the record of what’s settled and what’s still open.

What the website needs before the first LinkedIn link

The SR only site is live on main. Domain, link previews and consent still need to be done before the first LinkedIn link.

Live on mainDomain & old addressesLink previewsConsent & Insight Tag
Details Two notes for the website build, with copy buttons

The SR only website is live on main

Scope. The only active use cases are ceiling fans, HVLS & industrial fans, and mixers & food processors. EV, drones and the other motor platforms are not active and should not appear anywhere on the live site.

1. Done (checked 7 Oct 2026)

  • The SR only build was promoted to main and is live at avartan-website.vercel.app. The marketing plan and tracker run from the same project.
  • The Roadmap page is gone. The old roadmap, sync, core, axis, vehicles and drone addresses redirect.
  • The feedback widget is no longer loaded on the home page.

2. Still to do before the first LinkedIn link

  • Domain. www.adityaavartan.com still serves the old Framer site. Attach the domain to the new site, redirect the apex domain to it, and use HTTPS. Keep *.vercel.app out of search with an X-Robots-Tag: noindex header in vercel.json, using a has: host condition.
  • Old addresses. The old site ranks on /grid-powered, /technology and /products. Redirect each one, permanently, to the nearest new page (for example /motors/pulse.html and /motors/). Also make the existing removed page redirects permanent (permanent: true); they are temporary now.
  • Search Console. Verify adityaavartan.com as a domain property with a DNS record, submit a sitemap, and check the Links report, Security issues and Manual actions weekly for the first month. SemRush shows many spam backlinks. Google mostly ignores them, so disavow only if there is a manual action or a sharp ranking drop.
  • Link previews. The home page has no og:title, og:description, og:image (1200×627), twitter:card, meta description or canonical. Add them to every page and test each in the LinkedIn Post Inspector after go-live, because LinkedIn caches previews. The <title> still says "Magnet-Free Motor-Controllers"; per the site's own no hyphen rule it should read "Magnet Free".
  • Favicon. There is none. Build it from the assets/logos/avartan-mark-* files, and add an apple-touch-icon.
  • Sitemap and robots. sitemap.xml and robots.txt both return 404. Generate the sitemap in build-pages.mjs so it follows the pages automatically, and list public pages only: home, Technology, the three use cases and the use-cases index, About, Careers, Privacy and Cookies.
  • Search words. Keep "switched reluctance motor" and "SRM" in the page text and headings next to "magnet free". The old /grid-powered page already ranks for it.

3. Clean up files that stay publicly fetchable even though nothing links to them

  • assets/images/ola/*. Flagged in the website feedback for its folder name and the origin of the image.
  • assets/images/use-cases/drone*.png and vehicles*.png, and assets/images/hero-reveal/Drone.png.
  • assets/video/HeroB/Banner.mp4 and banner-poster.jpg, which look unreferenced. Check first. The poster is a three panel image that includes a scooter.
  • data/motors.json and data/use-cases.json still hold the removed entries. They are not rendered, but they are public. Consider moving them out of public paths.

4. Order

Domain and old addresses first, then link previews, favicon, sitemap and Search Console, then the file clean up, then the Insight Tag and consent (second note). The tag must be live before the first ads (Month 2).

consent.js and the LinkedIn Insight Tag

The current Cookie Policy says no advertising or analytics cookies are set, and promises consent first. This script gates the tag behind that consent.

Wiring

  1. Add <script src="/js/consent.js" defer></script> to index.html, about.html, careers.html, cookies.html and privacy.html. Add it once to the generated page shell in build-pages.mjs, then regenerate. Don't add it to /admin or /marketing-plan.
  2. Footer: next to "Cookie Policy", add <a href="#" data-consent-open>Cookie settings</a>. That footer is in index.html, the other static pages, and the footer partial in build-pages.mjs.
  3. js/nav.js: in the contact form success branch, right after form.reset();, add if (window.avartanTrackConversion) window.avartanTrackConversion();. The careers form doesn't need it.
  4. Policy text. Replace "does not set advertising or analytics cookies" in cookies.html, and add a matching paragraph to privacy.html. Suggested wording, subject to the legal check:
"With your consent, we use the LinkedIn Insight Tag (LinkedIn Corporation) to measure the results of our LinkedIn campaigns and show relevant ads to people who have visited this site. LinkedIn may set cookies and receive your IP address, browser details and the pages you visit. The tag loads only after you choose Accept. You can change your choice at any time with 'Cookie settings' in the footer. Declining does not affect how the site works. LinkedIn's use of this data is described in its own Privacy Policy, and you can manage ad settings in your LinkedIn account."

Before it works

  • WizKen supplies the Partner ID and conversion ID from Campaign Manager.
  • Create the conversion rule there.
  • Build the three use-case page audiences as URL rules in Campaign Manager. They need no extra code.
  • The hosts list must contain whichever host you're testing on.

Test

  • Decline: no requests to LinkedIn domains in the network tab.
  • Accept: the Insight Tag Helper extension confirms it, Campaign Manager shows the tag as active, and a test form submission registers the conversion.
  • Clicking "Cookie settings" after accepting, then Decline, reloads the page without the tag.
  • On a preview URL the banner never appears.

Two notes on the script. Accept and Decline are the same size and equally reachable, which is deliberate. Declining after the tag has loaded reloads the page. Cookies LinkedIn has already set on its own domain can't be removed from the site, so the policy points people to their LinkedIn ad settings.
